AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The session on the “The Course on Familiarity with the WikiShia Encyclopedia” and an introduction to the specialized course on translator training in the Bengali language was held at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, with the presence of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the Assembly, and Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mahdi Alizadeh Mousavi, representative of the Supreme Leader in the subcontinent.
In this session, while expressing his gratitude to WikiShia for its activities, Ayatollah Ramazani asked the encyclopedia to interact with ABNA News Agency.
“Women have high capacity that can be used in WikiShia,” the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “In the Western world, women are used as tools, while at WikiShia we can give identity to women, and explain their real identity in Shiism and society.”
“We need to introduce the rational spirit of Shiism so that it is introduced in the world as a rational religion,” he said.
Emphasizing the need to address content issues, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Shia is very rich in terms of rationality and spirit of justice-making, and we can even say that in the spirituality field, Shia is the richest.”
“The clergy must reach the level of becoming Islamologists, which of course requires years of hard work,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“WikiShia has become a reliable reference. Wikipedia, quantitatively and qualitatively, cannot be compared with WikiShia,” he added.
“The translator must master the source and target languages to use the idioms and proverbs appropriately,” Ayatollah Ramezani said.
Further in the session, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mahdi Alizadeh Mousavi presented a report about Shiites in Bangladesh. “There are more than 100 million AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in this country, and measures should be taken to improve their status,” he said.
“Last year, more than 200 entries were made in the WikiShia, and this year, the plan is to write 300 new entries in the encyclopedia in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Supreme Leader in Bangladesh,” he stated.
At the end of his speech, Alizadeh Mousavi said, “Many of our clergy are women, and we can use their capacity.”
