AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Wednesday morning, September 18, 2024, the closing ceremony of the international event “We are the children of Imam Hussain (a.s.)” was held, and the “Special Poster of Arbaeen in 63 World Countries” was unveiled in the conference hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Hojat al-Islam Abulqasem Askari, a member of the Board of Directors of the Assembly of Representatives of Qom Seminary Clergy, in an interview with ABNA spoke about the importance of media work during Arbaeen Pilgrimage days.
“The movement of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions was followed during the period of holy defense [Iraq-Iran imposed 8-year war],” Askari said, “Today, we are witnessing the manifestation of this movement in the battle of truth against falsehood, in the Gaza Strip, and in the Resistance Front.”
“During the Arbaeen pilgrimage, our colleagues tried to associate the movement of pilgrims towards the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.) with beautiful images of martyrs of Resistance Front and Islamic Revolution (of Iran), with the social extension of this movement in the contemporary era,” he added.
“Today, paying attention to the media and depicting religious concepts in the form of media is essential. If the method of using media tools is not spread to the people through media literacy, we will lag in conveying the concepts of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) to the people of the world. I am happy for such events that can be effective in promoting people’s media literacy,” Askari noted in the end.
It is worth mentioning that the international event “We are the children of Imam Hussain (a.s.)” was organized by AhlulBayt (a.s.) International News Agency – ABNA, on the occasion of Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) Arbaeen, in the forms of photos, selfies, pictograms, video clips, documentaries, documentary reports, interviews, podcasts, and AI content production. The event was widely welcomed by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers inside and outside Iran.
