Nigerian Muslims celebrate birth of Prophet, reiterate support for Palestine

In Nigeria, home to Africa's largest Muslim population, millions of Sunni and Shi'as participated in the annual march to celebrate the birth anniversary of the holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him and his progeny).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In Nigeria, home to Africa's largest Muslim population, millions of Sunni and Shi'as participated in the annual march to celebrate the birth anniversary of the holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him and his progeny).

Nigerian Muslims in all parts of the country, at the same time reiterated their support to the oppressed people of Palestine by rising the flags of Palestine and that of Hezbollah resistance.

In Bauchi State of the Northeastern Nigeria, millions of muslims held a unified procession that included people from different Islamic school of thoughts such as Shi'a, Sunni, sufee Tijjaniyya and Qadiriyya, among them were women, men, and children, who wore new traditional attire singing songs of praising the holy Prophet of Islam.

Some of the muslims that took part in the celebration were seen carrying photos of founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, late Ayatollah Ruhullah Imam Khomeini, leader of the Islamic Revolution, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, and martyr Qasem Soleimani, former IRGC Quds Forces Commander.

The marchers gathered at Kobi football field on Sunday in the city of Bauchi, started the march which followed through major streets of the town praising the holy Prophet, while flags of Palestine and that of Lebanese Hezbollah resistance were rose by them.
