The head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) underscored the need for unity and avoiding discord in the Muslim Ummah in order for it to be able to serve the cause of Palestine.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) underscored the need for unity and avoiding discord in the Muslim Ummah in order for it to be able to serve the cause of Palestine.

Sheikh Ali al-Qaradaghi said in a message poste on X (formerly Twitter) that the Islamic Ummah should be united and stand against the Zionist regime collectively.

He said Islam’s Western enemies seek to engage Muslims in side battles and foment discord among them.

Regarding what is going on in the Gaza Strip, the West has totally failed to uphold any principle, law, moral value or human rights, he deplored.

Today it is time for unity and standing together against the Zionists and their backers who want to uproot the Islamic resistance and eliminate the cause of Palestine, he stated.

Sheikh al-Qaradaghi noted that the enemy’s policy is ‘divide and rule’ and in order to foil it, Muslims should get united.

Citing two verses from the Holy Quran, “And hold fast to the Bond of Allah, together, and do not scatter,” (Verse 103 of Surah Al Imran) and “Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not dispute with one another lest you should lose courage and your resolve weaken,” (Verse 46 of Surah Al-Anfal), the IUMS chief wondered whether Muslims are going to obey God or follow the enemies.
