Quranic center launched in Pretoria, South Africa

The Hikmat (wisdom) Dar-ol-Quran Center was launched in Pretoria, South Africa's administrative capital.

The Iranian Cultural Center in South Africa has established the center, according to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

It is the first official Quran teaching center founded as part of the Risalatallah initiative.

ICRO's Quran and Propagation International Center is implementing the Risalatallah plan with the aim of boosting Iran’s Quranic capacities at the international level.

A number of Shia and Sunni Muslim scholars from Iran and South Africa as well as several Christian figures of the African country attended the opening ceremony of the Hikmat Dar-ol-Quran Center.

Addressing the ceremony, senior Iranian cleric Ayatolah Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi described the Quran as a spiritual treasure for Muslims and other people in the world, saying people should refer to the Quran for resolving issues and finding answer to their questions.

The Holy Quran provides answers to any question and challenge, he stated.

Iranian Cultural Attaché Mostafa Daryabari also delivered a speech at the inauguration ceremony, saying the Hikmat Dar-ol-Quran Center will cooperation with different scholarly and religious centers and mosques in South Africa to share with them the wisdom of the Quran.

Ibrahim Buflu, a South African scholars, in an address described the Dar-ol-Quran Center as a gift from the Islamic Republic of Iran to South Africa and said the teachings of the Holy Quran, Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) are the guidelines that should be followed by all to avoid deviation.
