Jamkaran Mosque hosts Pakistani pilgrims with comprehensive services

Jamkaran Mosque in Qom Province has been hosting thousands of Pakistani pilgrims in the past few weeks, offering extensive services, officials say.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Jamkaran Mosque in Qom Province has been hosting thousands of Pakistani pilgrims in the past few weeks, offering extensive services, officials say.

Majid Akhoundzadeh, Deputy of Pilgrims Services at Jamkaran Mosque, said that the mosque's pavilion has been hosting non-Iranian pilgrims, particularly from Pakistan, from the 20th of Safar (August 25) to the 5th of Rabi' al-Awwal (September 9), Iqna News reported.

Various welfare and cultural services are being provided to these pilgrims as they pass Iran on their path to Iraq to attend Arbaeen procession in Iraq.

"Over the past ten days, we have served 25,000 hot meals daily to the pilgrims," he said.

Babak Honarmand, Head of Cultural Services at Jamkaran Mosque, explained that the Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) Hall has been divided into two sections, accommodating around 2,000 men and women for overnight stays.

"In the past nine days, we have housed approximately 8,500 people in this hall," he said.

Honarmand added that the mosque has been hosting Pakistani Arbaeen pilgrims for nearly five years.

"This year, we have had the honor of serving Pakistani pilgrims 24/7 since August 25, and we will continue to do so until September 9," Honarmand noted.

The primary service provided at the Holy Jamkaran Mosque is accommodation. In addition, pilgrims are served breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

Cultural services are also offered alongside welfare services. Around 100 multilingual clerics are available to provide counseling, answer religious questions, conduct knowledge circles, lead prayers, and deliver speeches.

It is noteworthy that on Sunday, September 8, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Akbar Ojagh Nejad, the custodian of Jamkaran Mosque, visited the Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) Hall to review the services being provided to the Pakistani pilgrims.
