AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Representatives of the Al-Ghadir community of the Ivory Coast have met with the Speaker of the Islamic Council of the Ivory Coast, Sheikh Othman Diakite.
The representatives of the Shia community of Al-Ghadir, which is one of the largest Shia communities in this country, have met with Sheikh Othman Diakite, Speaker of the Islamic Majlis of Ivory Coast.
In this meeting, Sheikh Othman Diakite, one of the great scholars of the Tijaniyyah Sect and the Speaker of the Islamic Council of this country, while welcoming the guests, emphasized the need for unity and solidarity between Islamic religions in Ivory Coast, as well as the need to expand inter-religious and sectarian interactions in order to establish fraternal relations with other religions.
In addition, the representatives of Al-Ghadir community expressed their satisfaction with this meeting and presented a report on the activities and achievements of this community.
In this meeting, the Lebanese Shia cleric and preacher, Sheikh Mustafa Golan, one of the representatives of Jamiat al-Ghadir, said,” In today's world, the issue of unity and integrity of the Islamic sects is more important than ever, and we all must work to strengthen friendly relations between Muslims.”
It should be noted that the country of Ivory Coast is located in the West Africa and on the coastline of this continent, and almost ninety-five percent of the population of this country are Muslims, mainly of Tijani religion. Also, the population of Al-Ghadir is the largest Shia minority in this country, which consists of Shiites from Lebanon, India, Syria and other countries.
