AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Yemen has once again vowed to keep up its pro-Palestinian operations in protest at the Israeli regime’s ongoing genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
“Hesitation or retreat from Yemen's supportive stance towards Gaza is impossible and not subject to negotiation or compromise,” Defense Minister Major General Mohammed Nasser al-Atifi said during a ceremony on Saturday.
“Yemen's powerful and resounding response to the Nazi entity is coming without hesitation or concern, and we will meet Zionist madness with Yemeni strength, which they have tasted in the seas,” he added.
Yemen’s Armed Forces have been carrying out numerous strikes against the occupied Palestinian territories since October 7, when the regime began the war on Gaza, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 40,939 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
The forces have also been targeting Israeli ships and vessels heading towards or away from the territories as means of trying to force the regime into stopping the brutal military onslaught and a siege that it has been simultaneously imposing on Gaza.
They have, meanwhile, pledged to respond strongly to the regime’s assassination of senior resistance figures, which took place in late July during targeted killing operations against the Iranian capital Tehran and the Lebanese capital Beirut. The operations led to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas’ former Political Bureau chief, and Fuad Shurk, a ranking commander of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement.
Al-Atifi further asserted that Yemen would continue to develop its capabilities “quantitatively and qualitatively in accordance with the latest military building concepts we seek.”
Last month, the Yemeni defense chief had underlined that the country’s “military decision-making process has studied all military determinants and carefully analyzed the weaknesses of the Zionist enemy.”
“The most important points in the Zionist target bank have been carefully and precisely identified, subjected to deep informational and intelligence analysis,” he had also warned.
