Protest sit-in for Parachinar unrest continues in Islamabad, Pakistan

The protest sit-in in front of Press Club Islamabad organized by Kurram Yekhehti Committee continued on the 16th day.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The protest sit-in in front of Press Club Islamabad organized by Kurram Yekhehti Committee continued on the 16th day.

Leaders of various political parties and civil society leaders participated in the sit-in to express solidarity.

The Central Secretary General of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, Nasir Abbas Shirazi, while participating in the sit-in, said, “We have stood for the problems of Parachinar before and will continue to stand in the future. We are aware of the unrest in Parachinar.”

He further said that the voice raised by the MNA of Kurram district is unprecedented.

Allama Syed Tajamal while addressing said that “We are repeatedly demanding peace and resolution of land disputes which is our legal and constitutional right.”

Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen central leader Syed Zaheer Abbas Naqvi said that the law and order situation in Kurram district should be improved and the demands of the sit-in should be taken seriously by the government.

Maulana Mian Syed Sadaqat Gul said in his address, “Our simple demand is that we can no longer fight or carry out funerals. The rulers should accept our demands.”

Shabbir Babu, Zain Abbas, and Prof. Shabbir Hussain also spoke on the occasion and supported the demands.
