Palestinian girl killed in colonists’ attack south of Nablus

A Palestinian girl Friday evening was killed in a colonists’ attack in the Qaryut village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Palestinian girl Friday evening was killed in a colonists’ attack in the Qaryut village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

PRCS said that its paramedics provided first aid treatment to a 13-year-old girl who sustained critical gunshot wounds in the chest after being shot by Israeli forces in the course of confrontations in the village.

It added that Bana Amjad Bakr was rushed to the Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus, where she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Bana’s father, Amjad, said that his daughter was hit by Israeli army gunshots while she was along with her sisters in their room.

Earlier, Israeli colonists shot a young man, 34, with live gunfire, injuring him in the hand, at a time when they brutally beat up another, 30, leaving him in bruises.

Local sources reported that colonists stormed the village and attacked the villagers’ houses in the southern part, pelting them with stones and setting tracts of farmland on fire.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
