Ahlulbayt News Agency: The Department of Maintaining Order, in cooperation with the Department of Care for the holy courtyard at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, began preparing the doors of the holy shrine and removing sand after the end of the ceremony of the Ziyarat Arba'een.
The assistant head of the Maintaining Order Department, Mr. Redha Naji Sahi, said that"the staff of the department, in cooperation with the Department of care for the Holy Courtyard, started removing the rest of the sand that was swept to receive the twayreej Run Ritual on the tenth of the month of Muharram, and the condolence processions on the occasion of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him)".
He added that"the sand was laid in order to facilitate the smooth movement of visitors, and to avoid potential risks in the event of a stampede as a result of the large numbers flocking to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the two months of sorrow".
"The works include removing sand from the doors of the Qibla, Imam al-Hassan and Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon them), and continue until all the doors are ready to receive visitors,"he added.
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has harnessed the efforts of all its staffs to clean the near streets of the holy shrine and the surrounding areas to show the place in the most beautiful way.
