AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The vice president of seminary education in Iran said,” The ceremony to start the new academic year of the Islamic seminary will be held on Saturday, September 7, at Feyziyeh Seminary in Qom.
Hujjat al-Islam Mehdi Rostamnejad, the vice president of seminary education, announced on Friday, August 30,” The opening ceremony of the new academic year of seminaries will be attended by scholars, students, and professors of seminaries and it will be held on Saturday, September 7, at Feyziyeh Seminary in Qom.
The vice president of seminaries education added,” The keynote speakers of this event are going to be the Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamedani. Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary, will also present a report on the ongoing activities and future plans.
He further noted that in the new academic year, more than 50,000 students will study in more than 500 seminary schools and centers across Iran.
Regarding the upcoming plans, the vice president of seminaries education said,” The educational topics of 103 fields and majors out of more than 400 fields and majors of the knowledge tree of seminaries have been compiled and will be implemented in the new academic year.”
Hujjat al-Islam Rostam Nejad further added that the development of fields related to specialized jurisprudence, which is needed by society and the Islamic system, such as economic jurisprudence, is one of the educational programs of the new academic year in seminaries.
