AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The International Conference on "Resistance, Resilience, and Awakening," along with the media event "Karbala: The Path to Al-Aqsa," took place on the evening of Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Karbala. Organized by the Ahlul Bayt (pbut) World Assembly, the event saw the participation of religious figures, cultural activists, and media professionals from various countries around the world.
Professor Ramazani, Secretary-General of the Ahlul Bayt (pbut) World Assembly, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, and Hujjat al-Islam Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, Chairman of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWMP), were the keynote speakers at the conference.
Arba’een: Continuing the Discourse of Resistance
Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary-General of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) World Assembly, welcomed the international guests and stated, “Arba’een is a human and spiritual phenomenon that can pave the way for a modern Islamic civilization for Muslims and all of humanity.”
Emphasizing the crucial role of religious scholars in preventing the distortion of the events of Ashura, he continued, “Arba’een is a true narration of a great victory and triumph. Without Karbala, Islam would not have survived; The Islamic religion began with Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and was preserved by Imam Hussein (pbuh).”
Ayatollah Ramazani identified societal ignorance as the reason for turning values into anti-values and added, “Ignorance strips people of their true motivation for life. Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said: بَذَلَ مُهجَتَهُ فِیکَ لِیَسْتَنْقِذَ عِبادَکَ مِنَ الجَهالَهِ وَ حِیرَةِ الضَّلالَه, which means Imam Hussain sacrificed his life to save society from ignorance and deviation.”
The Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) World Assembly characterized the Islamic world as being in opposition to the forces of disbelief, explaining, “Today, anyone narrating the story of Arba’een must also speak of the oppression against the innocent women and children in Gaza. Arba’een serves as a reminder of the discourse of resistance and continues in its path.”
Emulating the Lifestyle of Imam Hussain (pbuh)
Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, extended his condolences on the occasion of Arbaeen and emphasized the importance of emulating the lifestyle of Imam Hussein (pbuh).
“Supporting the oppressed people of Gaza today is a continuation of the path of Imam Hussein (pbuh),” he underscored.
Following his remarks, the sacred flag of Imam Reza's (pbuh) shrine was brought into the gathering by the servants of the Holy Shrine, receiving a warm welcome from the attendees who chanted, "My Beloved Hussein (pbuh), My Beloved Reza (pbuh)."
‘Imam Hussain (pbuh) Is the Leader of the World's Free People’
In solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza, Palestinian flags were distributed among the attendees, who chanted slogans such as "Labbaik Ya Palestine, Labbaik Ya Gaza," expressing their outrage at the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza.
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, Chairman of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, highlighted the current situation in occupied Palestine and the importance of a united stance among Muslims worldwide, declaring Imam Hussein (a.s.) as the leader of the world's free people.
