AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Arbaeen rituals were held at a Shia residence in the Guinean capital, Conakry, with hundreds in attendance.
During his speech, Sheikh Aboubacar Drame highlighted the significance of the occasion at the community mosque in central Conakry. All speakers recalled the bravery of their hero and invited Muslims to adopt good behavior to support the oppressed Palestinians, particularly those in Gaza.
Support can be provided through financial aid or demonstrations, one speaker noted.
Speaking to Iran Press, Imam Maladho Barry, an Islamic scholar, compared the era of Imam Hussein's martyrdom to the current situation regarding the ongoing war in Gaza, stating, "Imam Hussein worked for justice for posterity."
"If Muslims around the world bravely succeed in defying their enemies, it is all because of Imam Hussein, who set the tone," Imam Maladho Barry said.
He emphasized that none of us should be indifferent to the bombings in Gaza, which have killed many innocent people.
Muslims represent the largest population in Guinea, a former French colony that achieved independence in 1958.
