AhlulBayt News Agency: A Quranic circle and Ibtihal recitation program was held at the Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
A number of senior qaris, including Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina, Mahmoud al-Khisht, Abdul Fattah al-Taruti, Yasir al-Sharqawi, Taha al-Numani, Ahmed Tamim al-Maraqi, and Mahir al-Farmawi recited verses from the Holy Book at the Quranic circle.
Awqaf Minister Osama El-Azhari and participants in the 35th edition of an international conference titled “Role of Woman in Creating Awareness” attended the Quranic event, Ad-Dustur website reported.
The Quran and Ibtihal recitation program used to be held at the venue of the conference in previous edition, but, according to the Awqaf minister, it was decided to be organized at the mosque in order for the guests to benefit from its spiritual atmosphere.
The international conference has attracted a large number of scholars from Egypt and other Muslim world countries, El-Azhari noted.
Referring to the theme of the conference, the minister highlighted the role of women in raising awareness in society and said women, including the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have played a significant role in the history of Islam.
