AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Sunday, thousands of Shia Muslims participated in the Arbaeen procession in Damascus, Syria, marching from the Shrine of Hazrat Ruqayyah (S.A.) to the Shrine of Hazrat Zainab (S.A.).
The event, marked by the carrying of black flags and the recitation of prayers, reflected the deep reverence and devotion of the participants for the martyrs of Karbala.
Arbaeen, observed 40 days after Ashura, commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.) and his companions in the Battle of Karbala.
It is one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world, with millions participating in processions globally to honor the sacrifices made for justice and faith.
