AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Karbala, Iraq – On August 19, 2024, the first International Arbaeen Lifestyle Conference brought together thinkers, professors, and lifestyle experts from various nations to engage in a dynamic discourse on the Arbaeen lifestyle. Held on the eve of Arbaeen 1445 in the holy city of Karbala, the conference focused on fostering discussions and exchanging views about the core principles of this unique way of life, with special emphasis on resistance and resilience.
The conference, organized both in-person and virtually, was translated into English, French, Turkish, and Arabic, allowing for inclusive participation by guests from around the world. The gathering featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Faezeh Azim Ardabili, Dr. Nireh Qavi, Dr. Yaqub Tawakli, Dr. Musa Faqih Haqqani, Dr. Zahra Golzar, Hajjah al-Islam Nazaft, and Dr. Arab Shivani. These scholars presented their insights on various aspects of the Arbaeen lifestyle, focusing on its profound impact on contemporary challenges.
Led by the secretary of the conference, Dr. Masoud Ostadhossein, the event was structured into two separate panels, one for men and one for women. Following the presentations, an in-depth discussion unfolded, with expert questions posed to the professors, further enriching the discourse. The conference concluded with a final statement, summarizing key themes centered around the principles of resistance and resilience, which are core to the Arbaeen lifestyle.
The final statement of the conference was read by Dr. Nafiseh Shahi Noori, a member of the thinking committee. The declaration, which was well-received and approved by the participants, underscored the need to embody these values in everyday life. It called for a renewed commitment to confronting oppression and injustice with courage and unwavering moral strength.
As the first event of its kind, this conference marks a significant step toward the global dissemination and understanding of the Arbaeen lifestyle.
