Ahlulbayt News Agency: The Hawza in Najaf held the longest congregational prayer extended on the road (Ya Hussayn) within the axis (Najaf-Karbala), for the eleventh year in a row.
The general supervisor of the hawza preaching project, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashkouri, said:"the preaching project includes a set of basic activities, including: Fiqh and doctrinal intellectual matters, and the most prominent title of worship is prayer, as we witnessed today the establishment of the Maghreb and Isha prayers extended on the road (Ya Hussayn) on the axis (Najaf - Karbala) starting from the procession of the two holy shrines, and with the participation of a large group of visitors heading towards the holy city of Karbala; to commemorate the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)".
He added that "the congregational prayer represents a single link between the worshipers and the Hawza to form a single integrated panel, namely the panel of worshipers, "noting that "one of his most important priorities of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is to pray with his supporters and companions, they prayed the morning prayer and he was keen that the prayer be held and remains resonant to this day."
Al-Ashkouri continued that "the aim of the extended prayer is to demonstrate the need to perform it at the beginning of the prayer time, as well as to perform it collectively, and to show the world that the reality is contrary to the rumors, and that visitors are interested in performing the prayer on time, as evidenced by the way of walkers".
For his part, the official of the hawza preaching axes on Ya Hussayn road, Mr. Mohammed Habl Mateen, said:"the Hawza confirmed that the preaching project for the Ziyarat Arba'een includes congregational prayer and the establishment of a unified prayer on Ya Hussayn Road in conjunction with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa ar-Redha (peace be upon him)."
