AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A cultural forum was held in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad to shed light on the role of women in the Battle of Karbala and discuss the status of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) as a role model.
A number of Iraqi female university scholars, elites and cultural figures attended the forum, organized at the Iranian Cultural Center in Baghdad.
Hura Hamid Matshar, Laila al-Tamimi and other speakers elaborated on how Hazrat Zeynab (SA) displayed a special character throughout her life.
They also highlighted the social role of the great lady and her role during and after the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
Ibrahim Najafi, head of the center, told Al-Maseerah news network on the sidelines of the forum that Hazrat Zeynab (SA) had an outstanding role in keeping alive the teachings of Ashura.
He said such women as Hazrat Zeynab (SA) and Umm Wahab are clear examples of how women can contribute to the victory of the front of the truth.
He also said what is happening in the Gaza Strip today has similarities with the events of Karbala and the role of women in this area is very important.
