AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hamas official, Suhail al-Hindi, said that Hamas will not “be part of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange negotiations expected to resume in the Qatari capital Doha on Thursday.”
Al-Hindi said in press statements that “Hamas will not be part of the upcoming negotiations scheduled to resume on Thursday, whether they are held in Doha or Cairo.”
He explained that Hamas demanded “a clear commitment by the Israeli occupation to what was agreed upon on July 2, based on the proposal of US President Joe Biden”, stressing that “the Movement would accept to discuss the agreement implementation mechanism only when that happens.”
Last week, the United States, Egypt and Qatar called on the Israel and Hamas to resume negotiations to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza.
