AhlulBayt News Agency: The Husseini Women Public Speaking Division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayya (peace be upon her).
The head of the division, Mrs. Taghreed al-Tamimi, said:"the division recalls for the fourteenth year the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayyah daughter of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon them) through the procession of Lady Ruqayyah (peace be upon her), with a condolence March that began from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and concluded at the shrine of the Master of martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) with the establishment of a condolence Council."
She added that"the council included condolence activities, including the reading of poems and painful Lamentations, which mimic the misfortune of her memory, Lady Ruqayyah (peace be upon her), amid an atmosphere of sadness that clouded the mourners."
Al-Tamimi continued,"the condolence March, which embodied the characters of the painful Taf tragedy and with the participation of children and Women, aims to draw inspiration and lessons from the Taf Tragedy, which represented a message and a comprehensive Human Revolution, carried out by Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions, and to support the cause of childhood in that tragedy."
