AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The course of knowledge enhancement and empowerment of officials and members of the Council of the Basij of Teachers of the country under the title “Challenges and Opportunities; Approaches and Strategies” is being held in Mashhad.
One of the speakers of the course was Hojat al-Islam Ahmad Maravi, the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.). In his speech, referring to the recent crimes of the Zionist regime, Marvi said, “The criminal Zionist regime committed a bitter, bold, and brazen crime, targeting one of the best guests of our country. They will be punished in the best way for this arrogance and boldness. We consider such martyrdoms as a blessing.”
“The blood of dear and beloved Haj Qassem in Iraq, like the blood of all the people of Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen, has created an unwritten and sacred pact that is unbreakable. This pact of resistance and the widespread international Resistance movement will eradicate not only the criminal Zionist regime but also global arrogance. Signs of these changes can be seen even in prestigious American universities, where white and colored students, raising the Palestinian flag, defend the rights of the Palestinian people. The message of these movements is not small but has a great meaning. Because it shows that even in the heart of arrogance, the defense of the story of Palestine resonates,” added the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.).
Referring to the brutal reaction of the Zionist regime to these protests, he said, “Although the regime brutally dealt with the protesters, it released many of those arrested. Because they could not keep the elites of the country in prison. These promising signs show the direction the world is going, and the truths of the will become clear.”
Pointing out Iran’s influence in the most important American scientific and academic centers, Hojat al-Islam Maravi said, “The Supreme Leader of the Revolution has correctly understood the actions of America. The United States, albeit reluctantly, acknowledges Iran's involvement in global affairs. This influence across multiple domains highlights Iran’s strength while simultaneously revealing America's vulnerabilities.”
The Custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) said, “In the Holy Quran, God says to the Prophet (p.b.u.h), “إِذَا جَاءَكَ الَّذِینَ یُؤْمِنُونَ بِآیَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَامٌ عَلَیْكُمْ” (When those come to thee who believe in Our signs, Say: "Peace be on you) (Quran, 6: 54) This is not the address of the Quran to the believers to greet the Prophet (p.b.u.h), but to the Prophet to greet the believers. This noble verse indicates that the pilgrims who come to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) before they greet the Imam, the Imam greets them. This is God’s mercy and grace. No pilgrim returns from the luminous court of these divine saints disappointed. Such meetings and gatherings next to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) will have a hundredfold blessing and influence.”
About the power and adherence to the Islamic Republic, Hojat al-Islam Maravi said, “No one will retreat from the Islamic revolution and its principles. Enemies used every tool against Iran, from civil war to tribal wars, imposed war (8-year Iraq-Iran war), the assassination of scientists, civil war with Monafeghin (MKO terrorist group), and economic sanctions, but they did not reach their goals. The Islamic Revolution is still stable and powerful and continues its path.”
Stressing the need for the prominent presence of university professors in various fields of society, Hojat al-Islam Ahmad Maravi added, “Enemies have always coveted university professors. Recent events also showed that we should pay more attention to the importance and role of this group. Academics and elites have a wide influence and should help students.”
Hojat al-Islam Maravi emphasized, “Basij of professors should be a refuge for students whose minds are full of questions, problems and criticisms. The Basij office in the university should be a place where students can go and raise their issues without fear. It should be a place where students can easily ask their questions and get appropriate answers.”
“The Supreme Leader of the Revolution has emphasized many times that the clerics and ideological-political officials of the armed forces should be the refuge of the military forces and treat them in a way that they can easily raise their questions and doubts without fear of confrontations and possible consequences,” he added.
Referring to the importance of scientific and jurisprudential assets, the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) stated, “The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could bring the Islamic Revolution to victory by using his high knowledge and jurisprudence and attract the elite clerics. Without a high academic level, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could not attract elites and bring the Islamic Revolution to this point. Imam Khomeini’s (r.a.) elite and outstanding students, such as Martyr Motahari, with their knowledge and genius, could convey the message of the Revolution to all of Iran and have a great impact on the society.”
“Although the number of prominent students of Imam Khomeini was not many, these few could make a great impact on the whole country. In Mashhad, the revolutionary movement, despite its limited number, could have great effects,” Hojat al-Islam Maravi added.
“The Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Tabasi, and Martyr Hasheminejad were among the elites and outstanding students of Imam Khomeini who, with their genius and knowledge, could influence the atmosphere of Mashhad and fulfill their authority role in the society,” added the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.).
“With their science and knowledge, university professors should direct the atmosphere of universities in such a way that students can refer to them and raise their issues with courage and without fear. This open and scientific atmosphere can be the basis for scientific and cultural growth and excellence in society and play an important role in advancing the goals of the Islamic Revolution,” Hojat al-Islam Maravi emphasized.
Pointing out the importance of having high knowledge and science to influence society, he said, “We know that Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could win the Islamic Revolution and attract the elite clerics due to his high knowledge and jurisprudence. In the same way, we also need to be scientifically superior to have a reference role in universities and among students. It is the science that gives us authority and influence. Akhund Khorasani, the author of the book Kefayeh, could be influential in Najaf seminary and maintain authority due to his high knowledge. Being a scholar brings authority and influence. To be influential at universities and attract and guide young people who are subject to deviation and misguidance, we must be superior in our specialized field,” Hojjat al-Islam Maravi continued.
