AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, the imam of the largest Friday prayer in Bahrain, in the Imam Sadiq (a.s.) Mosque in Al-Diraz region, in his sermons this week, first mentioned the country’s internal issues. “The biggest concern that worries the people of Bahrain and disrupts their lives is the issue of prisoners. The prisoners were hopeful that their cases would be resolved, and with the release of a large number of them during Eid al-Fitr, there was much optimism. This stage was expected to be accomplished, and the rest of the prisoners would be released. When the problem of prisoners is solved, addressing people’s problems will also accelerate.”
Emphasizing the right to equal citizenship and a decent life for all Bahraini people, without discrimination or exception, and based on mutual trust, he added, “The most efficient way to overcome obstacles and achieve goals is to start dialogues to address various issues.”
Denouncing the sacrilege of Prophet Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h)
In another part of his speech, the Bahraini Friday Prayer leader said, “At the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, there was a heinous and reprehensible insult to the Prophet Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h), who has a high position among us Muslims. Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h) is one of the ʾUlu al-ʿAzm prophets (Those of the Perseverance and Strong Will). Almighty God chose him to guide His servants to high morals and good values.”
Displaying the Prophet Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h) in an insulting way and related to the promotion of homosexuality and deviance is a horrible and heinous act that indicates the depravity and moral decline of the perpetrators,” he added.
Sheikh Sanqour further expressed, “International institutions use every opportunity to impose their programs and approve their plans, intending to deny religion, promoting sexual desires, perversions, and homosexuality, seek to normalize these humiliating affairs, and imposing them on societies under the guise of protecting human rights and freedom.”
“Human rights, which the international institutions falsely advocate, are not seen in the Palestinian land, and what has happened in the last ten months in the Gaza Strip is brutal crimes and massacre,” he added.
“The usurping Zionist regime and its accomplices have an illusion that they are weakening the Resistance by assassinating some of its leaders. Or they have the illusion that they will gain their dignity back by these hideous methods. But the Resistance men will continue the path of Jerusalem until the defeat of the enemy in the land of Islam,” said the Bahraini Friday Prayer leader in the end.
