AhlulBayt News Agency: In a new massacre targeting schools sheltering thousands of displaced persons, 30 civilians were killed in the Gaza Strip after the Israeli occupation army launched a series of airstrikes on two schools in Gaza City.
Local sources reported that Israeli fighter jets simultaneously bombed the Hassan Salameh school and the private An-Nasr school west of Gaza City.
The sources explained that the bombing destroyed the northern wing of the An-Nasr school, which consists of 3 floors, while the bombing destroyed the ground floor of the Hassan Salameh school.
Photographs and video footage showed fires breaking out inside the school, which shelters thousands of displaced persons whose homes were destroyed by the occupation’s ongoing war on the Strip.
The Civil Defense in Gaza said that it has become unable to deal with the Israeli bombing due to the deterioration of the equipment, and that its elements are working with the bare minimum of available means.
It stressed that the Israeli occupation does not respect any covenants or rules in its war on Gaza, and the continued bombing of schools sheltering thousands of displaced persons is new evidence of this, noting that most of the wounded arriving at hospitals are children and women.
The bombing of the two schools comes in less than 24 hours after the occupation army committed a similar massacre by bombing the Hamama school in the Al-Shati refugee camp, which resulted in the death of 16 displaced civilians in the school.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in more than 39,500 martyrs, the injury of more than 91,000 others, mostly children and women, the displacement of about 1.9 million people, 10,000 missing, and massive destruction of the health and education infrastructure, as well as famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children.
