Government of Pakistan should stop killing of Parachinar Shiites

The head of the Kashmir Shia Association called for breaking the silence on the Parachinar massacre and taking decisive and serious measures to protect the Shias.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The head of the Kashmir Shia Association called for breaking the silence on the Parachinar massacre and taking decisive and serious measures to protect the Shias.

Hujjat al-Islam Syed Hassan Mousavi has condemned the violence against Shiites in Parachinar region of Pakistan.

The head of Shia Association of Jammu and Kashmir criticized the actions of the Pakistani government regarding the oppression of the Shia community in the Friday prayer sermon at the Central Court in Badgam district of Central Kashmir.

Referring to the Wahhabi attacks on Shiites, he said,” These attacks are carried out in a way that seems to have been planned in advance.”

Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi strongly criticized the silence of the Pakistani government, noting,” The Pakistani government is silent on this matter, which is very disappointing.”

He demanded to break the silence about the Parachinar massacre and take decisive and serious measures to protect the Shiites.

On June 23, terrorists of the Daesh-linked group “Lashkar-i-Jhangvi al-Alami” targeted an Al-Quds rally in Parachinar and killed more than 100 people.

Parachinar, capital of Kurram Agency tribal area in NW of Pakistan with 50,000 population, is a mainly Shia town which had already suffered two deadly bomb blasts in its markets earlier this year.

After the deadly attacks hundreds of protesters staged a peaceful sit-in against the cowardly act and demanded the government to provide security to the people of Parachinar.

They ended their sit-in after Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the town and assured the people of better security. The visit by the army chief was warmly appreciated by people of Parachinar.

In January this year a bomb blast killed 24 people in a Parachinar market. The attack was claimed by the Daesh-linked terrorist group “Lashkar-i-Jhangvi al-Alami”.
