AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, has sharply criticized Australia, New Zealand, and Canada for their dual standards in response to the recent Israeli airstrike on an Iranian diplomatic mission.
Kanaani accused these countries of exacerbating regional tensions while emphasizing on Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Kanaani argued that the selective application of international norms by these nations and their support for Israel’s policies only serve to intensify conflicts and encourage further aggression.
He also pointed out that these countries, by supplying weapons to Israel, are complicit in the ongoing violence against Palestinians.
The Iranian spokesperson also highlighted the historical involvement of these countries in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, asserting that their support for Israeli actions undermines regional stability and security.
He affirmed Iran’s commitment to upholding international law and vowed to protect its national interests against any unlawful use of force.
