AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): About the German police attack on Imam Ali (a.s.) Islamic Center and affiliated centers in the country, Dr. Masoud Shajareh, Chairman of the London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission stated, “This event is undoubtedly the result of increasing Islamophobia and replacing the pure Muhammadan (p.b.u.h) Islam with a version of Islam that is compatible with the liberal and tyrannical system.
“The West is trying to separate religion from politics, economy, and society, and restrain it to an individual relationship between the worshiper and God; something that has nothing to do with civil society;” he described, “A perception of religion that is just the opposite of the pure teachings of Muhammadan (p.b.u.h) Islam.”
The Chairman of the London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission said, “After the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the West became extremely worried about the emergence of true Islam. Because for the first time, it witnessed the central role of religion in the sphere of politics, and the failure of its plots to colonize the world. Therefore, the West tried to introduce a new version of Islam that has no effectiveness and is associated with the tyrant system; just as the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) referred to as American Islam and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to as British Shia.”
Further, referring to the recent incident in Islamic centers in Germany, he warned that the West is trying to shut down or curb organizations that promote authentic Muhammadan (p.b.u.h) Islam.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, German media outlets reported that the country’s police forces attacked the Islamic Center Hamburg, as well as other affiliated Islamic centers, and they were banned from their activities.
In this regard, the German Federal Ministry of the Interior announced that it had banned the activities of the Hamburg Islamic Center and its affiliated centers in Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin for following “radical Islamist goals”. As a result, four Shiite mosques in Germany were closed and the properties of the Islamic Center Hamburg were confiscated.
According to reports, the police simultaneously raided four Islamic centers and the homes of their officials, managers, imams, and employees and confiscated their properties. German news outlets say that the future of the centers and how they will be managed is unknown.
The head of the Islamic Human Rights Commission emphasized that these centers should not give in to the pressure of the German government. “The way to protect the authentic and pure Muhammadan Islam (p.b.u.h) in the West is costly and difficult,” he mentioned.
In the end, Shajareh proposed the formation of a team of local experts, familiar with civil laws, who, as the advisory arm of Islamic centers, could draw a road map to implement the pure and authentic Muhammadan (a.s.) Islam.
