AhlulBayt News Agency: The Department of Manufacturing grids of the holy shrines at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine announced the percentage of achievement in the grids of the basements of imams al-Hussayn and al-Jawad (peace be upon them).
The head of the Department, Mr. Nadhem al-Gharabi, said that" the percentage of completion in the grids of the basements of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Jawad(peace be upon them) has reached more than 80%, "indicating that"the staff of the department is constantly working on the completion of this project, which aims to decorate the basements of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Jawad (peace be upon them) with two artistic grids to match the splendor of the holy shrines."
He added that"the two grids will be installed in the basements under the Holy Courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), and the works are being carried out in several parallel lines to ensure their completion within the prepared time plans, and the staff of the department has completed the installation of the 16 knotworks".
"The length of the grid is 9 meters and its height is 2.90 cm, and the finishes included installing the Quranic band that tops the two grids, which has a total length of (33.56 m), evenly distributed over the two grids, and with a height of (19 cm) and thickness of (5 mm), which is made of copper, and put on the grid of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) is part of the Blessed Surah of Tawbah,"al-Gharabi continued.
He explained that" the quranic band of the grid of the basement of Imam al-Jawad(peace be upon him) was written with part of Surah al-Waqe'ah on it, "pointing out that"the band was made of copper and the Surah was written on it with the Thuluth font and its letters were painted with gold and the base with glazed enamel".
Al-Gharabi pointed out that "the works included the completion of installing pieces of Decorative band above the grid knotworks, and the staffs of the department are currently working on making metal parts for the two grids, and then installing them on the wooden structure of them".
