AhlulBayt News Agency: Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, announced that 330 scientific and technological achievements have been made in the nuclear field during the 13th government.
Eslami during a government meeting on Sunday said that during this period, 330 scientific, technological, and nuclear achievements have been made. He added, "One of the things we did was to make the achievements of the nuclear industry effective in people's lives."
According to Pars Today, Eslami also noted that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has added 80 products to its radiopharmaceutical basket.
According to Eslami, the organization is currently building 20 products and has taken significant steps in the fields of pistachio pest and diabetes treatment, which can lead to amputation in the field of radiopharmaceuticals.
He also announced that at least three new radiation therapy centers will be opened in Iran by the end of September.
One of the most important features of nuclear technology in Iran is its localization. The "Tellurium-130 Isotope" is one of the achievements of young Iranian nuclear scientists, which has been achieved through the design, construction, and operation of a chain of 20 centrifuges and has numerous applications in medicine, particularly in the production of radiopharmaceuticals and the diagnosis of cancer and incurable diseases, as well as in industry, geology, agriculture, and nuclear sciences.
Today, Iranian researchers have been able to produce dozens of diagnostic, therapeutic, and radiopharmaceuticals using nuclear technology. The "Hemostat" powder, or blood clotting agent, is another achievement of Iranian nuclear technology in the medical field, which has a high application in surgeries to prevent bleeding.
Currently, with the efforts of Iranian scientists, Iran has joined the ranks of five countries with the technical knowledge to produce this medical product. Additionally, with the hard work of these researchers, nuclear technology has contributed to the agricultural sector and food security in three areas: plasma, biology, and radiation. Combating agricultural pests, sterilizing grains and food, and increasing their shelf life are among the most important services of nuclear technology in agriculture.
The use of nuclear technology in industry and environmental protection is another valuable achievement of this domestic technology. The design and construction of the electrostatic electron accelerator system for industrial wastewater treatment has created a fundamental transformation in the rubber and polymer industries.
