AhlulBayt News Agency: The Host Restaurant Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has counted its services provided to visitors of Ashura in the city of Karbala from the first to the thirteenth of the month of Muharram, and has confirmed the development of an integrated plan and mobilized all its staff for this important Ziyarat, pointing out that more than 800 thousand people have benefited from the services of the Department.
The head of the Department, Mr. Adel Hammami, said that"the department has prepared a plan to distribute meals to Ashura visitors, aiming to provide services to as many visitors as possible, as the total number of beneficiaries of services reached 803,712 people".
He added that " the preparation of meals provided through three outlets, namely the external door of the host restaurant, and near the imam al-Askari Complex (peace be upon him), and the caravan of distributing take-away cards for the period from 7th to 13th Muharram amounted to 185,450 meals, and through the host restaurant cards of the "in place and take-away" for the period from 1st to 13th Muharram amounted to 86,000 meals, while the meals distributed by the imam Hadi complex (peace be upon him) amounted to 41,320 meals from 1st to 13th Muharram.
He added that the preparation of meals provided for the period from 1st to 13th Muharram through the cooperative shop amounted to 13,107 meals, and for volunteers and other parties (lunch, dinner) amounted to 119,950 meals, pointing out that 21,455 meals were distributed to the staff during the alert period from 6th to 13th Muharram.
He pointed out that " the department distributed about 85,430 meals in Samara for the period from 5th to 13th Muharram through the procession of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) and the procession of the city of Samara, while the meals of the procession of the Al–Abbas's (p) holy shrine in Samara amounted to 30,000 meals from the 9th to 11th Muharram.
He pointed out that"15,500 meals were distributed for the period from 1st to 13th Muharram through processions and various bodies (foodstuffs)".
According to Al-Hammami, the Department's staff distributed 40,000 cups of milk on the 8th of Muharram, while 165,500 pieces of various fruits were distributed from 1st to 13th Muharram.
