Iraqi tribes commemorate burial of holy bodies at of Imam al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (+Photos)

The holy city of Karbala witnessed, on Saturday, the thirteenth of Muharram, the start of the condolences processions of the Bani Assad and the Iraqi tribes, to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies of the master of martyrs and his family and companions(peace be upon them).

AhlulBayt News Agency: The holy city of Karbala witnessed, on Saturday, the thirteenth of Muharram, the start of the condolences processions of the Bani Assad and the Iraqi tribes, to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies of the master of martyrs and his family and companions(peace be upon them).

The people of Karbala used to remember this occasion and revive it as an inherited ritual custom, with the procession of the tribes and clans of the province, in addition to tribal delegations representing some tribes that come from other provinces, led by the Bani Asad tribe, which was honored in 61 ah to help Imam as-Sajjad(peace be upon him), in burying the bodies of the martyrs of the at-Taf tragedy, according to the narrations.

The processions of the tribes were organized in the form of groups and processions, and they set off as usual from near the shrine of Sayed Gouda in Karbala, heading to the Qibla street of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) to go to his holy shrine, and from there through the square between the Two Holy Shrines to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), to conclude the condolence procession in his Holy Courtyard.

The sheikh of the Bani Asad tribe of the Euphrates, Mr. Zuhair Yusuf, said that"the condolence procession of the Bani Asad tribe is one of the oldest processions which people come out on the thirteenth day of Muharram every year, to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies of the Master of martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn, his family and companions(peace be upon them) after the Battle of at-Taf".

He added that "the preparations for the condolences begin from the first of the month of Muharram, and the first start is from the Shrine of Sayed Gouda towards the Qibla street of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) until entering the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy courtyard, and then heading towards the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) through the area between the Two Holy Shrines, with the participation of the rest of the Iraqi tribes and clans".

The condolences also witnessed the participation of a large number of women who came out in huge processions to extend condolences of Lady Zaynab(peace be upon her) on this sad tragedy.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has used its human and mechanical means to provide the best services to the incoming condolence processions to commemorate the burial of the holy bodies, on the thirteenth of the month of Muharram.
