Ahlulbayt News Agency: As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 281 on Saturday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians.
Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes and attack citizens in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours.
According to media sources, at least 71 civilians were killed and about 290 others were injured in Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza, on Saturday morning following intensive Israeli bombardments, which targeted an apartment building, tents sheltering displaced families, and people and civil defense workers on roads.
289 others were wounded, including people with critical injuries, while doctors and medical crews are facing unprecedented difficulties dealing with the large number of casualties in the presence of a completely collapsed healthcare system in the Gaza Strip.
The death toll is likely to increase as there are people with critical injuries and missing persons.
The General directorate of the civil defense service said that Mousa Hamad, deputy head of its fire and rescue department, was killed and eight other employees were injured, three of them seriously, as they were working on rescuing victims following Israeli airstrikes on an apartment building in central Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
Earlier, the Israeli army committed horrific massacres in different neighborhoods of Gaza City and camps in central Gaza that claimed the lives of over 100 civilians and injured many others, according to the Government Media Office.
The Israeli army also committed another massacre today after it bombed a prayer area near the Shati Martyrs School in western Gaza, killing at least 17 civilians and injuring multiple others.
10 citizens were reportedly injured when the Israeli army attacked a house belonging to the family of Hamdan in an-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
A man and his pregnant wife were martyred following an Israeli attack on their home in Qaa al-Qarin area, east of Khan Yunis.
Last night, the Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of al-Ra’iee, killing five civilians, including two children.
More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.
