Palestinian official 'Sheikh Salah' calls for intensive Muslim presence at Aqsa Mosque

Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has urged Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque in light of the Israeli conspiracies engulfing it.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has urged Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque in light of the Israeli conspiracies engulfing it.

“We will remain dedicated to defending the Aqsa Mosque and we will continue visiting it,” Sheikh Salah said in press remarks on Saturday.

Yesterday, tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers observed the Friday khutba (sermon) and prayer at the Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli police restrictions on their movement in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said that about 35,000 Muslim worshipers were able to perform the Friday prayer at the Aqsa Mosque after they went through police checkpoints and searches at the holy site’s gates and entrances.

The sources added that police forces spread on the plateau of the Dome of the Rock building during the Friday khutba and prayer.
