UK, Israeli regime seek to plunder Argentina's oil from Malvinas Islands

The British government, under the pretext of its claimed sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands, Argentina, intends to plunder at least 500 million barrels of oil from the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The British government, under the pretext of its claimed sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands, Argentina, intends to plunder at least 500 million barrels of oil from the region.

According to an official report published by the British government through The Telegraph news website, the country plans to extract at least 500 million barrels of oil from the Malvinas Islands in South America.

Estimates show that the majority of the profits from this exploitative action will go to "Israeli and US shareholders".

According to this document, the oil extraction area will be Leones Marinos Island which is estimated to contain 1.7 billion barrels of oil, several times larger than the Rosebank oil field in northwest Scotland, the largest planned oil field in the North Sea, which is estimated to contain 300 million barrels of oil.

The oil field that Britain intends to plunder is currently under the control of the Israeli company Navitas Petroleum. British media note that if the islanders accept the exploitative actions, "most of the profits will go to Israeli and US shareholders".

Argentina, under the presidency of Alberto Ángel Fernández, had previously filed a complaint against the Israeli oil company Navitas Petroleum.

The Malvinas Islands, which the British call the Falkland Islands, are one of the regions that Europeans have tried to occupy over the years.

The Argentine Malvinas Islands were occupied by British forces in 1833 during the British colonial era.

Experts believe that Britain's main goal in occupying the Malvinas Islands is to control the strategic strait, which is one of the five most important straits in the world. By claiming sovereignty over these islands, Britain is also claiming ownership of a large part of Antarctica and the fisheries in the region.

The presence of oil and gas resources in parts of the coastal waters has added to the strategic importance of these islands, leading Britain to continue its colonial-era dominance.
