AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad is a safe haven for Muslims from across the world, especially Shias. The Deputy Office for International Pilgrims Affairs runs a wide range of programs for the non-Iranian pilgrims visiting the shrine in their millions every year on various occasions.
Muslims from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, etc. visit Imam Reza shrine on different religious and cultural occasions each year and enjoy numerous programs and receive services under the auspices of the office.
Speaking in an interview, the Deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs, Hoj Seyyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, expanded on the scope of activities and programs the Central Asia section of the office provides for Turkish- and Azeri-speaking pilgrims from across the world.
“During the Ten Days of Keramat, a variety of programs such as speeches and eulogies in Azeri, cultural events on Islamic teachings and the life and conduct of Imams, tour of the shrine, etc. have been designed for non-Iranian pilgrims in Dar al-Rahmah portico”, said the deputy.
“All the services are provided whole-heartedly in an attempt to make pilgrimage of Imam Reza shrine a memorable and spiritual experience for the non-Iranian pilgrims”, added Hoj Zolfaghari.
