Iran sanctions US over suppression of student protests against Israel

The Islamic Republic of Iran put sanctions on the US authorities due to the suppression of the student protests against the Israeli war on the Palestinian nation.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Republic of Iran put sanctions on the US authorities due to the suppression of the student protests against the Israeli war on the Palestinian nation.

Iran's Foreign Ministry of Affairs put the sanctions on the US authorities within the framework of the "Countering the US Violation of Human Rights and Terrorist Adventurist Actions in the Region" law.

The names of the US authorities sanctioned are as follows:

The Head of the Public Security Administration of Georgia State William Hitchens, Commanding Officer over Field Operations Major Eddie Grier, the UF's first female police chief Linda Stump-Kurnick, Washington's Police Chief Pamela Smith, Executive Assistance to Washington's Police Chief Jeffry Carrol, UTPD Assistant Chief Shane Streepy, Cox Boston Police Chief Michael Cox, Indiana University Police Department Chief Scott Dunning, the University of Arizona Police Chief Michael Thompson, and CSU Long Beach Police Department John Brockie.

Based on the articles 6, 7, and 8 of the above law of the Islamic Republic, the US authorities mentioned will receive the following sanctions:

Visa ban to Iran, blockage of financial accounts in Iran's banks, and freezing of assets in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

All of the relevant bodies of the Islamic Republic are tasked to enforce the sanctions effectively.
