Iran's envoy and permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, during the UN Security Council session on Tuesday, called the complete, immediate and unconditional exit of the US forces from Syria as necessary for peace and stability of the country.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran stressed the necessity of unconditional exit of American forces from Syria.

The United States has kept its presence in Syria during the past years with the pretext of combat against terrorism, while has constantly plundered the resources of this country.

Iran's envoy and permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, during the UN Security Council session on Tuesday, called the complete, immediate and unconditional exit of the US forces from Syria as necessary for peace and stability of the country.

Iravani said, "The Americans, instead of combating terrorism, continue supporting terrorist groups like "Jabhat-al-Nusra" and looting the oil and wealth of the Syrian people."

This Iranian diplomat added, "Some Western countries, such as the US, are responsible for prolongation of clashes in Syria because they are trying to impose their will on the people of this country."

Stressing that everyone should observe the Syrian sovereignty, political independence, unity and territorial integrity, Iravani stated, "The International Community shouldn't leave the Syrian people alone in fighting terrorism, foreign occupation and economic terrorism stemming from illegal sanctions."

Referring to the necessity of exit of all illegal foreign forces from Syria, Iravani made it clear, "Iran strongly condemns continuous invasion of the Israeli regime against the Syrian sovereignty and targeting civilians and vital infrastructures of this country, and is committed to political resolving of the Syrian situation."

The Iranian ambassador and permanent representative to the UN also said, "In addition to the political process, international efforts should continue to facilitate reconstruction of Syria and safe return of refugees and internally displaced to their main residence in Syria."
