AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The head of Iran’s Seminary said,” The center of the civilizational city of Qom is the seminary and the shrine of Lady Masuma (PBUH), therefore the central texture of the city should be one that maintains this centrality and makes it easy to access.”
Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi made some remarks at the opening ceremony of the implementation of 198 urban projects, which was held on Saturday, June 22, at the conference center of Qom municipality. He congratulated on the auspicious days of the decade of Wilayah thanking all those who serve the city of Qom, adding,” The city of Qom is the cradle of the Islamic revolution and the hub of the society for Islamic civilization and an inspiration to the world.”
He pointed out that one of the issues that was emphasized by the mayor of Qom was that it needs a long-term plan and a strategic design and perspective that is appropriate to its position, adding,” the centrality of the civilizational city of Qom is the seminary and the shrine of Lady Masuma (PBUH) and the central texture of the city should be one that maintains this centrality and makes it easy to access.”
Friday Imam of Qom City pointed out that urban development is not the work of one department, therefore everyone should be at the forefront of the changes and progress of the city. He went on to say,” The cooperation and companionship of the martyred president Raisi with the governor and the municipality in the 48-hectare site of Qom led to several large projects based on these lands. For the city to achieve results, such measures must be continued because one apparatus alone cannot meet all the needs of the city.”
Pointing out that Qom city council and municipality have institutionalized the foundation of a great work in the last decade, the head of Iran’s Seminary added,” Qom city has a high position that is sometimes taken for granted.”
He stated that the developments that took place with the leadership of the city council, the mayor and the cooperation of the governor's office and other institutions should be appreciated, adding,” Despite some criticisms and suggestions, great things have been done and the members of the city council and the mayor are open to criticism.”
Ayatollah Arafi stated that the city of Qom has experienced significant changes in providing services to the people in the last decade, and this is due to the service of all parties at different levels in the municipality and other institutions; He further noted that the art of government officials, including the municipality, is that the knowledge and the necessary technology should be institutionalized in it, and the urban management officials should be open to the opinions of elites and innovative people to build the future of the city.
