AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The secretary general of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly said not only Muslims but also non-Muslims can benefit from the teachings of the Event of Ghadir.
Ayatollah Reza Ramezani made the remark in a meeting of senior religious and media personalities with him in Qom on Saturday.
He said the first teaching of Ghadir is that the best and most appropriate people should be placed in positions of responsibility as was the case on Eid al-Ghadir when the best of the people was appointed as the leader of the Ummah after the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
According to the cleric, another teaching of Ghadir is that people should participate in shaping their own destiny, adding that the issue of religious democracy has its origins in the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
The meeting came ahead of Eid al-Ghadir, which falls on Tuesday, June 25, this year.
