AhlulBayt News Agency: Under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's(P) holy shrine, the Al-Abbas's (P) Squad held various events in the capital Baghdad, on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadeer.
The events were organized under the supervision of the Squad's Wafa humanitarian campaign, as they included the holding of a marathon on Abu Nawas Street, with a wide participation of athletes from various governorates of Iraq.
The official of the religious guidance department in the Squad; Sheikh Muntadher Aal Musafer, said that "Abbas's Squad (peace be upon him) was keen for the second year in a row to revive the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir by holding this festival and Marathon in the capital Baghdad, to demonstrate the importance of this occasion, and to give attention and guide young people".
"The events were attended by a large numbers of academic, official and religious figures, and concluded with honoring the winners and distributing prizes to the participants,"he added.
