AhlulBayt News Agency: The Imam Ali's (p) holy shrine dedicated the wilayah banner to the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, coinciding with the approaching anniversary of the Eif al-Ghadeer.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine received the Wilayah banner of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) from the Imam Ali's (p) holy shrine, coinciding with the approaching anniversary of the Eid Al-Ghadeer and the coronation of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as the successor of the messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), in Ghadeer Khum after the farewell pilgrimage.
The head of the Religious Affairs department at the Imam Ali's (p) Shrine, Sheikh Karrar al-Khafaji, said that "the handing over of the honorable banner to the Holy Shrines is an event that the Imam Ali's (p) Shrine is keen to hold annually in commemoration of the Eid Al-Ghadeer, as it was the final ceremony to be handed over to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy Shrine, after it was handed over to the Imam al-Hussayn, Kadhemiya and Askariyah Holy Shrines".
He explained that" commemorating the greatest Eid of Allah comes in compliance with the commandment of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to celebrate their joys and commemorate with sadness their sorrows, "stressing"the importance of the Wilayah to the Commander of the Faithful and renewing allegiance to him on this blessed occasion."
