AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli has praised Imam Reza shrine’s international programs and appreciated the services provided for pilgrims.
Mostafa Faghih Esfandiari, the Deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs of Imam Reza shrine, along with his entourage, met and sat for talks with Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
Appreciating activities in Imam Reza shrine and the services provided for pilgrims, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said: “Expansion of Imam Reza shrine guesthouses is a sacred act; however, training religious scholars is one of the most important missions of the shrine, and the scientific section needs to be boosted”.
The grand scholar added that Iran must play an important role in the region in this perilous time since it hosts a great Shia Imam’s shrine (Imam Reza), the people are fervent lovers of the Imam, and the Shia mentality is the precondition to save the region.
“Imam Reza precisely clarified matters related to jurisprudence, Islamic rulings and logical argumentations, and as his followers, we need to closely obey him thereof”, he continued.
He stressed that “our people truly love Ahl al-Bait, but there won’t be any progress in our life and society insofar as this love is not reasonable”.
Pointing to present-day Spain, formerly known as Andalucía, which used to be a hub for both Islam and Christianity, he said doubts emerged but were not appropriately responded; therefore, religion gradually diminished there, and nowadays, there is no place for real Islam or Christianity in Spain.
The grand Ayatollah concluded his remarks by emphasizing the significance of knowledge and understanding for pilgrims besides facilitating their pilgrimage. “We need to utter something scientific about religion and bring Ahl al-Bait’s teachings to society”.
