AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Dar-ol-Quran center is to be inaugurated during a ceremony in Bosnia and Herzegovina today, June 12.
It has been established by the International Quran and Propagation Center Affiliated to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the Iranian Cultural Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Bosnian Persian College.
ICRO chief Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour will attend the inauguration ceremony.
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neishaburi, head of the International Quran and Propagation Center, one of the center’s strategic missions is to elevate foreigners’ awareness about the enlightening teachings of the Holy Quran.
He said the Dar-ol-Quran center is aimed at promotion of reading the Quran among children and young adults, encouraging Quran memorization and learning the teachings of the Holy Book, and spreading the Quranic culture in society.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country in southeast Europe. Islam is the most widespread religion in the country.
Nearly half of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s population is estimated to be Muslim.
