AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Custodian of Imam Reza shrine has called exchange of experience and knowledge between holy shrines in Iran and Iraq as a means of boosting the quality and quantity of services to the pilgrims.
In his visit to Iraqi holy shrines – Imam Ali shrine in Najaf, Imam Hussain shrine in Karbala, and those in Samarra and Kadhimiya, the Custodian of Imam Reza shrine, Hoj Ahmad Marvi, sat for talks with heads of the holy shrines in the Arab country and stressed on the significance of exchanging experience and knowledge among holy shrines in Iran and Iraq.
“Creating closer connection and cooperation among the holy shrines can greatly boost service provision to pilgrims and solve possible problems”, he said.
Pointing to some advancements made by Imam Reza shrine in cultural, scientific and social services fields, Hoj Marvi added: “Imam Reza shrine has been able to expand its public services across Iran in wide variety of areas such as cultural, scientific, higher education, healthcare, etc. in the past couple of decades”.
Imam Reza shrine’s custodian further thanked the Iraqi officials and people, particularly, the grand Ayat Sistani, for showing solidarity and sympathy with the Iranian nation after the martyrdom of late President Ebrahim Raeisi in a chopper crash on May 19.
Hoj Marvi praised the pivotal role Ayat Sistani plays in Iraq and the wider world both in religious matters and social, political and humanitarian spheres.
The custodians of the Iraqi holy shrines, for their part, appreciated activities undertaken by Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, thanking Hoj Marvi for playing an active role in expansion of cooperation and efficient connection among holy shrines in Iran and Iraq.
