AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Kafeel Center for health and public safety, affiliated to the Office of the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Karbala health department.
"The blood donation campaign was organized by the Al-Kafeel Center for health and public safety in cooperation with the medical affairs department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine and the blood bank at the Karbala health department, in order to provide the rare species needed by hospitals and to enhance community and humanitarian solidarity,"said Fa'ez al-Shakraji, advisor to the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine.
For her part, the head of the medical affairs department, Dr. Haifa al-Tamimi, said that "the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine was keen to organize many humanitarian events and activities, including the blood donation campaign organized in cooperation with the blood bank at the Karbala health department."
She added that"the blood donation campaign took place in the al-Kaff basement inside the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in accordance with the health conditions and controls that apply to donors, while providing all the needs of donors who have any emergency, including medicines, nutrients and drinks.
In the same context, the director of the Blood Bank, Dr. Qais Rasheed, said that "the main blood bank in Karbala continues to cooperate with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in organizing blood donation campaigns, "explaining that "today's campaign came in preparation for the Ziyarat of Eid al-Adha.
