Ahlulbayt News Agency: A mufti in the Islamic community of Serbia says confronting the unfolding Israeli crimes in Gaza is the responsibility of all humans.
Senad Halitović said that a “grave crime” is unfolding against the people of Palestine, particularly in Gaza.
“This situation not only weighs heavily on the hearts of Muslims but also awakens the conscience of the world,” he added.
“Confronting this crime is not solely the responsibility of Muslims; it is a duty for all humanity,” stressed the Mufti.
“We witness the loss of innocent lives, including Palestinian women and children, and the destruction of vital infrastructure in Gaza by the occupying regime and its allies who claim to champion freedom and democracy,” he said.
“It is incumbent upon us to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, regardless of the religion that we follow,” Halitović added.
The remarks come as the Israeli regime’s bloody war machine has killed over 36,500 Palestinians since October 2023. The vast majority of the fatalities are women and children.
The savage campaign was launched after Hamas carried out its historic Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the usurping entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities.
The occupying regime has additionally enforced a comprehensive blockade on the coastal sliver, severing the supply of fuel, electricity, sustenance, and water to the population of over two million Palestinians residing there.
