AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Vice-Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University Hujjat al-Islam Khaleqpour, and his accompanying delegation met with the Grand Mufti of the semi-autonomous region of Zanzibar, Sheikh Saleh Umar Kaabi.
Hawzah News Agency- at the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University introduced the activities of this prestigious academic stating,” Al-Mustafa is an international institution similar to Al-Azhar University in Egypt and Umm Al-Qura University in Medina. This institution operates in the fields of Islamic sciences, humanities and language and literature and has students from all over the world.”
Hujjat al-Islam Khaleqpour presented a report on the various disciplines offered by Al-Mustafa International University and noted,” Al-Mustafa is the only Iranian international university that has active representatives abroad.”
In another part of this meeting, the Grand Mufti of Zanzibar, Sheikh Saleh Omar Kaabi, while appreciating the good attention of Al-Mustafa International University to strengthening the knowledge foundations of Islamic countries, considered the dissemination of Islamic knowledge and sciences as one of the essential duties of Al-Mustafa University both inside and outside Iran saying,” among the issues in modern world is the learning of Islamic sciences, and this path is very sacred.”
He added,” Islam has come to solve human problems and teach us the way of life. Not having Islamic religion and laws harms the society and the person; therefore, it is our responsibility to teach Islam to the society, to remove people from ignorance and spread knowledge.”
Grand Mufti of Zanzibar noted,” I thank you and the representative of Al-Mustafa University in Tanzania for guiding our people to the light of Islam and we will also support you so that you are successful in this country.”
In the final part of his speech, Sheikh Saleh Omar Kaabi expressed his happiness and desire to be in Iran and expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi, adding that the martyred president of Iran, Ayatollah Raisi, was not only a representative of the Muslim community of Iran, but also a representative of the Muslims of the world; In a way, he was also a representative of Tanzanian Muslims.
