Ahlulbayt News Agency: The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine confirmed that the building of the Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts includes a minaret with a height of about (80) meters, and designed in harmony with modern Islamic architecture.
The head of the Department, engineer Dia al-Din al-Saegh, said that " the department continues the construction of the building of the Al-Kafeel museum, which includes a minaret with a height of about (80) meters, designed according to the latest designs that harmonize modern Islamic architecture.
He added, " the museum's vision, the mechanism of preserving the collections and its laboratories are in line with international museums, and it has harnessed all its means to implement it as soon as possible within the specified time limit."
For his part, The Engineer of the project, Mr. Hussein Mohammed Baqer, said that"the project of the building of the Museum of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is one of the projects of the development and expansion of the Old City, and is implemented in stages, and is located at the entrance to the Qibla street leading to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the southern side of the Holy Shrine."
He added that"the project is being built on an area of (4000 m2), it includes a basement, a ground and service floor and six floors, and the reinforcement works have been completed and the first section of the foundation of the building has been poured on an area of (1300 m2)".
