AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Saudi authorities have announced new guidelines for those intending to visit Al Rawdah Al Sharif within the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia has introduced a set of new guidelines.
Under the new regulations, visitors will be allotted a maximum of 10 minutes for their visit to the sacred site, with the additional stipulation that each individual is eligible for only one permit per year.
In an effort to manage the flow of visitors and ensure that as many worshipers as possible have the opportunity to visit, the authority has established a cancellation policy.
Permit holders are encouraged to cancel their appointments in advance should they find themselves unable to attend, according to Saudi media outlets.
Non-compliance with this policy, specifically not canceling a permit, will lead to a restriction from booking another visit for the duration of one year.
The authority has also detailed specific entry instructions to facilitate an orderly visitation process. These instructions, available through the Nusuk application upon obtaining a permit, include arriving at the site 15 minutes before the scheduled time and being present within the Haram area 30 minutes prior to the appointment. The entry process into Al Rawdah Al Sharif will be strictly enforced through the scanning of a barcode at the gate, without which access will be denied.
The Saudi authorities have said that the implementation of these measures is aimed at ensuring a smooth and organized experience for worshipers visiting this revered location.
