AhlulBayt News Agency: Speaking to IQNA, Ala Abdul Fattah said the two martyrs’ support for the Palestinian resistance should serve as an example for the world’s free-minded people.
He offered condolences to the Iranian nation and government over the tragic loss of the two senior officials.
Ayatollah Raisi would always support the cause of Palestine and Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian was also a true defender of Palestine in all international arenas, the analyst said.
They would spare no efforts in support of Palestine and were the true voice of the oppressed people of the Gaza Strip, he added.
“We will never forget how Iran has always stood by the Palestinian nation to defend our rights,” he stated.
He added that the Palestinian nation and resistance groups are also mourning the loss of the two martyrs.
So are all other resistance groups in the region, including those in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, Abdul Fattah stressed.
“We are a united Ummah fighting the Zionist enemy and carrying the flag of La Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah (There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger) until the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque…,” he went on to say.
“We are certain that Iran’s Islamic Revolution, nation and government will continue to stand with the people of Palestine,” he further said.
A helicopter carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, Friday prayers leader of Tabriz Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Al-e-Hashem, Governor of East Azarbaijan Malek Rahmati, the commander of the president’s security team, two pilots and a flight crew crashed in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan on May 19, 2024. Their bodies were found on Monday after an extensive night-long search operation.
Iran observed five days of national mourning this week with funeral processions for the victims held in multiple cities.
President Raisi was laid to rest at Imam Reza (AS) shrine in Mashhad and Amir-Abdollahian was buried at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (AS) in Rey, south of Tehran, marking the end of days of funeral processions attended by millions of Iranians in several cities.
